The Thrivent Builds Mobile is bringing the "joyful noise" of homebuilding to the National Cherry Festival at the intersection of East Grandview Parkway and North Union Street in Traverse City, MI. The exhibit will be offering free tours to visitors on:

  • Saturday, July 4 through Saturday, July 11
  • 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily

We hope you'll join people from throughout our community and the surrounding area to tour this unique traveling exhibit.

You'll get a first-hand look at why substandard housing is such a serious problem and how we can all be part of the solution by helping families build simple, decent, affordable homes and achieve greater economic independence.

The Thrivent Builds Mobile is sponsored by Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity, an unprecedented alliance between Thrivent Financial for Lutherans'® and Habitat for Humanity® International. For more information, visit www.thriventbuilds.com/mobile.

We are always looking for families that need, and qualify, for a new home.

Currently we are actively recruiting. So, if you are one of the familes or know of someone get in touch with Deb Maxey, Wexford Habitat's Executive Director, at 231-775-7561.

You may also donate household items and building supplies to the ReStore. YES!! we even take cars and boats. HMMMMM!! Yes, any donations are tax deductable.

Who we are

Wexford Habitat for Humanity is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization.

Wexford Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged. Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses.

Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor—sweat equity—into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses .
